Duties per Town Charter is as follows:
The Committee shall consist of seven (7) members appointed by the First Selectman, subject to the approval of the Town Council pursuant to Chapter IV, Section 2 of the Monroe Town Charter. The Committee membership shall include: (i) one (1) member of the Town Council; (ii) one (1) member of the Board of Education; (iii) one (1) member of the Board of Finance; (iv) one (1) member of the Planning and Zoning Commission; and (v) three (3) additional citizen members as may possess relevant professional, technical, operational, construction, engineering, architectural, project management, or community experience. In the event any member appointed to the Committee by virtue of holding an elected position ceases to hold such position during the term of such member’s appointment, such seat shall thereupon be deemed vacant and shall be filled in accordance with this section. Appointments to the Committee shall comply with applicable minority representation requirements under the Connecticut General Statutes and the Monroe Town Charter.
