DOG LICENSE RENEWALS
Monroe dog owners that have dogs six (6) months of age and over must be licensed annually. If you have already registered your dog, you will receive a renewal postcard in the mail shortly.
The State of Connecticut requires that all dogs must have Rabies vaccinations. Therefore, when licensing a dog it will be necessary to provide a current Rabies vaccination certificate. If licensing a dog for the first time, it will be necessary to provide the spaying or neutering certificate in order to obtain the lower license fee. The fees are: $8.00 for a neutered male or spayed female, $19.00 for unaltered dogs. We would prefer that licenses be dropped off or sent through the mail. Please drop off or send a self-addressed stamped envelope with a check or money order for the proper amount and the following information, if not already on file: Rabies certificate, spay or neuter certificate, owner’s name, phone number, address, dog’s name, breed, age of dog, color markings and sex of dog.
Drop off: Monroe Police Department Lobby, 7 Fan Hill Road.
A box will be marked “DOG LICENSING” and checked every day.
